The Aspire Command and Control Center for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 stadiums has begun operations on Sunday.

This came during a press conference held at the Sports Business District building in Aspire Zone Park, in the presence of representatives of all media agencies.

In a speech at the conference, Command Center Director at Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy (SC) Eng. Hamad Ahmed Al Mohannadi expressed happiness for the start of the center's operational operations, which aims to manage and supervise all operations of the Qatar 2022 World Cup stadiums and provide a suitable environment for the development of these operations to ensure the readiness of the World Cup stadiums and the sporting events hosted by Qatar in the future.

He added that the center also serves to control electromechanical and building control systems, manage stadium security operations, and follow up on all information and communication systems and infrastructure for these facilities, in addition to following up on all periodic maintenance operations for these facilities and following up on performance indicators.

Director of Security (Facilities Operation Department) at SC Eng. Abdullah Mubarak Al Mohannadi underlined that the official announcement of the opening of the center confirms its readiness to work directly in all operational operations of the World Cup stadiums, including the security aspect concerning security systems in sports facilities such as control systems, entry systems, and public safety systems.

Director of Applications and Communication at the Command and Control Center for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 Stadiums Eng. Hani Chahal said that the center is the first of its kind in the world, as it possesses high capabilities related to many stadiums. He explained that the center provides monitoring and control services in several stadiums simultaneously.

He explained that the center provides four main services: facilities management, security, and safety, information transmission, fans and visitors, noting the operational capabilities enjoyed by the center, which will have a significant impact on the success of the organizational process for all sporting events that are held in the facilities connected to the center.
