Armed Forces Honour Participants in Al Khafji Battle and Kuwait Liberation Operation

The Armed Forces honored today participants in Al Khafji battle and the Kuwait liberation operation during a ceremony held at the theatre of the National Service Academy at Miqdam Camp, under the patronage and presence of HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al Attiyah.

During the ceremony, HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs Dr. Khalid bin Muhammad Al Attiyah honoured participants in Al Khafji liberation battle and handed them the Medal of Courage. He also honoured participants in the Kuwait liberation operation and handed them the Medal of Military Operations on behalf of HH the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces.

A short film featuring memories of the Armed Forces' participation in Al Khafji battle and the Kuwait liberation operation was displayed during the ceremony.

The ceremony was attended by a number of ranking Armed Forces officers.
