Al Dasha Marine Sports Festival

The 8th Al Dasha Marine Sports Festival, organized by the Doha Marine Sports Club, kicked off on Tuesday at Katara Beach, coinciding with the Qatar’s National Sport Day (NSD).

The first day of the festival, whose competitions will continue until next Saturday, were distinctive and wonderful, with the official opening of the festival as well as the launch of the Marine Companies and Factories Exhibition witnessing a large turnout of fans of the sea and fishing as well as those interested in the marine industries that are very popular in the State of Qatar.

The festival’s official competitions will begin with kayak fishing and swordfish fishing competitions. The same contests will be repeated Wednesday before the festival moves into its most competitive stage with various championship rounds on Friday and Saturday.

These will be the Qatar Traditional Rowing Championship, the Qatar Jet Ski and Freestyle Championship, and the Qatar Traditional Sailing Championship.
