Qatar Fencing Federation's General Assembly
The Qatar Fencing Federation's General Assembly re-elected Abdullah Ali Al Ghanim as President of the Federation for a new term extending until 2028.
This came during the General Assembly meeting held today at the Qatar Olympic Committee, with Khalid Issa Al Hammadi, Fahad Abdullah Al Mulla, Zamel Khelaiwi Al Shammari, and Khawla Khaled Jamal becoming members of the Board of Directors.
The meeting approved the minutes of the previous meeting, endorsed the Federation's budget for the next year, and highlighted the achievements made by the Federation last year and the goals of the next stage.
It discussed the latest preparations by the Qatari fencing teams to participate in the upcoming events and the plans set by the Federation in preparation for the qualifiers for the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles, USA, and for the 2030 Asian Games in Doha.
In a press statement, Abdullah Al Ghanim praised the support provided by the Qatar Olympic Committee to the Qatar Fencing Federation, stressing that the Federation will enhance the infrastructure of fencing in Qatar and develop detailed training programs to support players and coaches in preparation for upcoming events.
