UAE's Al Razi team advanced Thursday to the final of the Haddad Al Tahadi challenge of the Qatar International Falcons and Hunting Festival (Marmi 2025), held under the patronage of HE Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al-Thani.

Marmi 2025 President Mutib Mubarak Al Qahtani awarded the winning team the qualification shield and a financial reward of QR 100,000.

Al Razi are now the seventh finalist of the challenge between falcons and homing pigeons.

Organized by the Qatari Al Gannas Association, with the support of the Social and Sport Activities Fund (DAAM), the event runs from January 1 through February 1 at Sabkhat Marmi in Sealine, featuring over 2,000 falconers in various championships.

Hadad Al Tahadi Committee Chairman Shawi Al Kaabi hailed the high-octane contests between the homing pigeons and the falcons.

Meanwhile, groups 21 through 25 of the Al Talaa challenge - which involves falcons hunting houbara bustards, were postponed over poor visibility.

Al Talaa Committee Chairman Mohammed Mubarak Al Ali said the delayed competitions will resume on Sunday while groups 26 through 30 will be held Saturday.
