Matar bin Fayrouz Al Hosani, a 68-year-old Omani traveler, accomplished an extraordinary journey on foot that spanned over 30 days to reach Qatar and participate in the country's National Day celebrations.
Al Hosani embarked on his remarkable trek on October 29 from Wilayat Al-Khaboura in the Sultanate of Oman, covering vast distances through the United Arab Emirates and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia before reaching Qatar.
Upon his arrival, Al Hosani expressed, "I don’t only represent myself, but I also represent the Omani people from west to east." His mission carried a powerful message of unity, as he conveyed "a message of peace, love, and respect from the Omani people to our Qatari brothers."
Al Hosani emphasized that his journey symbolized more than personal accomplishment; it stood as a testament to the profound connections between the people of Oman and Qatar. He shared, “I started on October 29 from Al-Khaboura, Oman, heading to Qatar. It is an honor for me to join my Qatari brothers and the people during their celebrations of Qatar National Day,” in an interview with Tamkeen Sports Academy.
