Doha's skies were painted with a vibrant display as the 4th Qatar Balloon Festival kicked off at the Katara South park area on December 7. This edition of the festival, now in its fourth year, marked a significant expansion, featuring a record-breaking 55 hot air balloons, surpassing previous years' numbers.

In its inaugural year, the festival showcased 30 hot air balloons, followed by 35 in the second year, and a remarkable 50 balloons during the third edition at the Old Doha Port. The current festival, with 55 balloons gracing the sky, has captured the attention of hundreds of attendees over the last three days, drawing families, especially those with children.

For balloon enthusiasts, the festival offers a diverse itinerary of morning and afternoon flights covering various city locations—from Katara to Sports City, the desert, Lusail, and beyond, depending on the wind direction.

Attendees can also enjoy daily roaming acts, featuring stilt walkers, dancers, inflatable mascots, and parades from 4 pm to 9:40 pm. For those seeking an adventurous experience, the festival is providing 1,000 hot air balloon ride tickets at a discounted price of QR499, available for booking through asfary.com. This opportunity offers a chance for individuals to defy gravity and embark on an unforgettable journey through the skies until March 31, 2024.

The Qatar Balloon Festival is set to run until December 18, and entry is free of charge, ensuring a delightful and accessible experience for all.
