Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS) announced the implementation of the sacrifice project, on the first day of Eid Al-Adha for the year 1442 AH in cooperation with Widam Food Company.

In this context, the Director of the Representative Office of Qatar Red Crescent Society in Sudan Awadallah Hamdan Al-Siddiq, said that the number of beneficiaries of the project this year amounted to 4,500 needy families, comprising more than 23,000 people.

Al-Siddiq added that the sacrifices were supplied from the local Sudanese markets, where Widam Food Company slaughters and prepares them, provided that the distribution process takes place during the days of sacrifice, according to the teachings of Islamic Sharia.

Qatar Red Crescent Society started its humanitarian activities in Sudan in 2003, and it funds and implements many humanitarian projects in various Sudanese states. (QNA)
