Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup Final
For the first time in the tournament’s history, the 2026 FIFA World Cup Final will include a Super Bowl-style halftime show, marking a new era in the world of football entertainment.
The announcement was made at the Global Citizen Festival in New York, unveiling a four-year partnership between FIFA and Global Citizen. The collaboration aims to provide more than just entertainment, using the global platform to spotlight critical issues such as poverty and access to education.
FIFA President Gianni Infantino highlighted the initiative’s potential to inspire change by blending sports with entertainment. “By merging these worlds, we can promote global causes while expanding access to football,” Infantino stated.
The addition of the halftime show underscores FIFA’s commitment to leveraging football's global reach to engage audiences in meaningful conversations and foster positive social impact.
