Doha, October 06, 2026 :The Qatar Sports for All Federation (QSFA) has concluded its “Summer of Sports for All 2026” race series at the Aspire Indoor Track, attracting 1,362 male and female participants of different ages and nationalities.
The series featured strong participation across its races, with 676 runners taking part in the open race, while 686 women participated in the third edition of the women’s race, including 641 Qatari participants.
Following the competitions, winners across the various categories were honored, while participants received commemorative medals and encouragement awards in recognition of their participation and to motivate them to take part in future sporting events.
The races included timed challenges tailored to different age groups. Participants aged over 17 competed in 15-minute and 30-minute challenges, while those aged between 7 and 17 took part in a 10-minute challenge. Children aged 3 to 6 competed in a five-minute challenge.
Executive Director of the Qatar Sports for All Federation Abdullah Al Dosari said the strong turnout demonstrated the growing popularity of running and the community’s interest in participating in accessible sporting activities.
He highlighted family participation as a key feature of the races, noting its importance in encouraging children and young people to adopt active lifestyles and making sports an integral part of daily life.
Al Dosari encouraged members of the community to continue participating in the federation’s upcoming programs and events, emphasizing its commitment to providing diverse sporting activities suitable for different age groups and promoting wider community participation.
The federation’s activities will continue with the fourth and final round of the “Summer of Sports for All” women’s race series on Friday, followed by the launch of the “Autumn of Sports for All” race series later this month.
