Airport Security Thwarts Cocaine Smuggling Attempt
Customs authorities at Hamad International Airport have successfully prevented an illegal substance from being smuggled into Qatar. Qatar Customs, through its social media channels, reported the confiscation of 2.52 kilograms of cocaine from an incoming passenger. The illicit cargo was discovered hidden within the traveler's bag cover.
The General Customs Authority has consistently issued warnings against the importation of unlawful items into the country. They are well-equipped with the latest technology and receive ongoing training to detect suspicious passenger behavior and stay informed about the most current smuggling tactics employed by traffickers.
