AFC U23 Cup
The referees committee of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has selected five Qatari referees to participate in officiating the AFC U23 Cup matches due to kick off in the State of Qatar from April 15 to May 3.
The selected Qatari referees are Abdullah Al Athba, Mohammed Ahmed Al Shammari, Faisal Eid Al Shammari, Zahi Sunaid Al Shammari, and Mishari Al Shammari.
The participation of the five referees in the AFC U23 Cup, which qualifies for the 2024 Paris Olympics, comes after their distinguished levels during their participation in managing various local and continental competitions, most notably managing matches in the AFC Champions League or in joint Asian qualifiers for the FIFA World Cup 2026 and AFC Asian Cup 2027.
